Access 100+ expert sessions on sustainability research and innovation

August 23, 2021

The world’s first transdisciplinary gathering in sustainability is now open access, with over 100 session recordings exploring some of the most urgent intersections of science, policy, and technology.

The Sustainability Research & Innovation Congress (SRI2021) took place from June 12-15, 2021, online and onsite in Brisbane, Australia. The Congress was the first in an annual series to unite global sustainability leaders, experts, industry and innovators to inspire action and promote a sustainability transformation. It brought together over 2,000 participants from more than 100 countries and featured 700 speakers.

New subscribers are encouraged to give a one-time donation to better enable open communication of new research, policy dialogues, and more in the upcoming SRI2022 Congress. Recordings may be requested for educational purposes and special consideration will be given for those in financial need.

Recordings of all indigenous-led sessions and sharing of indigenous knowledge and perspectives that were presented at the event are open access. SRI2021 featured presentations and discussions with indigenous leaders and scholars from countries including Australia, New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Peru and the USA.

Incorporating indigenous knowledge in sustainability science and action is critical for achieving global sustainability goals and creating equitable benefits.

With major international gatherings in Glasgow, UK, for COP26 and Kunming, China for COP15 happening later this year, the SRI2021 sessions provide a broad overview of the latest research around climate change, biodiversity loss, and other critical environmental issues.
